Updated 21-October-2021

We're thrilled to announce that as of today, we have fully launched a new title types for Podcast series and Podcast episodes.

From today, there is a new option available within our New Title Form for Podcast Series:

Podcast Series submission option

We've also made changes across all IMDb & IMDbPro web and app experiences to ensure that titles of this type have the correct type displayed, and that podcasts are discoverable via search features.

Credits for podcasters will also be displayed appropriately on their pages:

Podcast Series and episodes are discoverable via our Advance Title Search, for example: Podcast Series/Podcast Episode (Sorted by Popularity Ascending)

We've updated the associated submission guide with instructions of how to submit these to the database now.

You may remember that we previously announced that we would accept Podcasts using the TV series type - however, as part of this launch, the team has moved all the previously contributed podcasts (under the old policy) over to this new title type.

This change has been soft-launched for a few weeks to allow the team to perform extensive end-to-end testing to ensure any issues were addressed before this announcement.

We've also been assisted in testing by some of our contributors, thank you!

If you experience any problems with this feature, or have any feedback - please let us know over on our announcement post on our community platform Sprinklr.
