User Profile Badges

We are pleased to announce an update to IMDb's profile badges! We've updated the Badges feature with a contemporary design that aligns with our other recently updated pages.

While preserving all your previously earned badges, we've also enhanced the experience. On your profile page, you will find badges displayed in a scrollable widget, from which you can click any badge to view more information in the new modal pop-up without leaving the page. 

You can also click the “Badges” header to see a page with all of your badges earned to date. We've also refreshed the badge informational page as well, listing the full set of current badges available.

Below are various examples of how the updated badges appear on an IMDb profile page, in both the scrollable widget and on a separate page showing all earned badges.

Frequently asked questions

Badges are accomplishments achievable via your site activity. Every user receives a Tenure badge based on how long they have had an account on IMDb, and other badges are either automatically assigned or earned. Available badges, and how you can earn them, can be viewed on our IMDb Badges page.

• We currently do not have the ability to retroactively issue badges based on lists, so if you've already rated all these titles, simply un-rate/re-rate one of the titles and the badge will be issued.
  
  
• The badges may take as along as 24 hours to issue.
  
  
• If you un-rate one of the titles on the list the badge will disappear within 24 hours.
  
  
• There is currently no notification for a badge issuance.
